Lover's Ballet

The Lover’s Ballet
By: Brett Matthes

A mischievous smile
A knowing touch
Unspoken words
That say so much

A whisper of perfume
The flash of a thigh
Enticing commands
Delivered through a sigh

The tingle of wine
A romantic potion
Clothing removed
In one fluid motion

Caught up in passion
Two bodies combine
The essence of lust
On which all wish to dine

Time comes to a stop
The world drifts away
For two souls immersed
In a lover’s ballet
